 TESTIMONIALS

Since installing the Amicus VMS in Signature Flight Support`s fleet of vehicles last summer, we have seen a significant decrease in damage to all vehicles which subsequently increased productivity from all vehicles whilst not being in the workshop and a pleasing fall in repair costs incurred.

The system is particularly user friendly and the incorporated reporting function is a useful time saving tool.

May 2004 - Plane Handling Ltd steps up Amicus VMS implementation

Plane Handling Ltd a fully independent UK based ground handling company and subsidiary of the Virgin Group Plc and partly owned by Aviance UK, looked at the potential of acquiring a comprehensive Telematics solution that would allow them greater control of their motorised and human assets.

In late 2003 Plane Handling rolled out the Amicus VMS product on 68 vehicles at London Heathrow. After successful system trials with Aviance back in 2002, Plane Handling felt confident that the Amicus Vehicle Management System would offer them the chance to increase operational efficiency over the whole fleet furthermore it would reduce operating costs significantly. Today a further 19 brand new vehicles will be fitted with Amicus VMS with a view to installing the remainder of the fleet by end of 2004.

Tim Willett, Ramp Operations Manager at Heathrow commented, “Amicus VMS has proven to be a real benefit to the company as a whole and has added real value in our service offering to our customers; we have experienced upwards of 80% reduction in vehicle damage since installing Amicus VMS. It enables us to meet our corporate objectives of efficiency and continue our exceptional quality service delivery.”

Amicus VMS provides Plane Handling with data such as dates of journeys, driver details, vehicle speeds, GPS locations, crash data and other bespoke reporting features. Additionally the system is online so that anyone within the organisation has visibility over the fleet at any one time. Tim continued to say “The system allows us to meet our Health & Safety requirements, increase visibility and improve on driver accountability; this therefore alleviates the need for unnecessary repair and maintenance on equipment and so we are able to provide optimum working condition for our staff, increasing their well being and overall safety, the benefits of this system are universal”.
