“Amicus VMS” has developed a revolutionary tailor-made telematics solution to resolve some of the issues experienced by Airline operators, GSE (Ground Support Equipment) operators and associated Airport companies. From catering to baggage handling companies, all are now required to keep accurate records for both vehicles and drivers.

At “Amicus VMS” we researched extensively, what data was required on both a statutory and a preferential level to enable the development of the system. It was also recognised that operators are required to increase productivity and profit margins, whilst maintaining safety through more effective management of company assets. Consultations with companies and industry managers indicated some major concerns – Ensuring full utilisation of vehicles and GSE, and the revenues lost through accident damage. These concerns are as important as operational factors such as – knowing exactly who was driving a vehicle, its speed, location and ancillary connections, such as Oil warning lights or door switches. These factors are crucial in reducing vehicle down time and prolonging vehicle longevity.

The Airport industry, until now, has not been able to benefit from current fleet management solutions already experienced by the Car industry, due to the high costs of implementation, high airtime charges and limited reporting facilities. “Amicus VMS” can offer custom made solutions to tackle these issues as well as hardware/software reliability, data accuracy, management reporting and secure remote access to this information.

“Amicus VMS” (Vehicle Management System) represents one of the most technologically advanced and affordable, vehicle Airport Telematics solutions available. Its ease of use and access to management report information makes it possible for all Airport operators to benefit from this new and revolutionary technology.
